Visa Application for Egypt
1. For Estonian citizens
A visa for up to 30 days can be obtained at Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh airports.
For entry through other border points, the visa must be obtained in advance.
Required documents for obtaining a tourist visa (can be sent via email):
- A copy of the passport valid for at least 8 months at the time of application;
- Application data:
- Travel dates
- Your occupation
- Marital status (Married; Single; Divorced; Widowed, etc.)
- Mobile phone number (+372...)
- Home address
- Previous trip to Egypt (entry date, exit date, cities visited)
Visa processing time:
The visa is processed in about 2 weeks. You can apply for the visa no earlier than 60 days before the trip.
Visa fees:
Single-entry tourist visa for up to 30 days | 75 euros |
Multiple-entry tourist visa for up to 180 days* | 115 euros |
*The multiple-entry visa is valid for 6 months from the date of issue. The stay for each trip must not exceed 30 days. The total duration of all trips with the multiple-entry visa must not exceed 90 days.
2. For citizens of the Russian Federation
A visa for up to 30 days can be obtained at Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh airports.
For entry through other border points, the visa must be obtained in advance.
The visa conditions are the same as for Estonian citizens (see above).
3. For stateless persons with Estonia residency (undefined citizenship)
The visa must be obtained before the trip.
The first stage of the visa application requires:
- A copy of the passport valid for at least 6 months after the planned trip (copies can be made at our office);
- A copy of the ID card (both sides) (copies can be made at our office);
- Two color photos sized 3.5x4.5 cm, not older than 6 months (photos can be taken at our office);
- An online form (filled out in English), then printed and signed:
Print the form - A signed declaration in Estonian or Russian.
The second stage requires:
- Original passport;
- A copy of the round-trip flight booking in English;
- A copy of the hotel reservation for the entire stay in English.
Visa processing time:
The visa takes at least two months to process:
First stage: The visa center submits the documents (listed above) to the Egyptian consulate, which sends a request for visa approval to Cairo. The approval wait time is at least 40 calendar days (there is no regulated timeframe for approvals). It is strongly advised not to pay for the trip before receiving the approval.
Second stage: Within 60 days of receiving the approval, you must submit the original passport, flight tickets, and hotel booking to the visa center. The documents will be forwarded to the consulate. The time for visa stamping depends on the consulate’s workload, but it usually does not exceed three weeks.

NB! The total visa application cost is 160 euros. If approval is not granted or is received later than the planned trip, the second part of the visa fee is not required (the first part is non-refundable).
4. For EU citizens
The conditions are the same as for Estonian citizens (see above).
