Thailand Visa Application

For Estonian citizens

If your trip’s purpose is not travelling, or the visit period is longer than 30 days, visa to Thailand has to be obtained prior your trip starts.*

Visa exception is valid for 30 days (only twice during a calendar year if entering by land/sea border).

Documents needed for a tourism visa application:
1) A copy of passport of an applicant, which is valid for at least 6 months after the end of your trip.
2) Copies of airplane round-trip tickets.
3) A bank statement in English/Finnish language. You have to provide 3 different statements for last 3 months that verifies that the applicant has at least 30 EUR x amount of days in Thailand on his / her bank account on the last day of each month. 
4) 1 color digital photo of the applicant.

5) Copy of last invoice for electricity/phone/flat for your name.
6) Visa Application Form, printed out and filled in. All phone numbers have to be with prefix (+372 Estonia). Place of birth means Country and City. It is necessary to fill in "Reference/Contact person and Address in Finland/Home country" field, where you have to point your relative or friand who is not travelling with you (Name, Surname, Address and Phone number). Signature should be the same like in your passport.

7) Hotel booking for all dates of your trip to Thailand.

Visa issuing times: about 2 weeks

Visa fees:

1-entry visa with a tourism purpose and a time period of up to 90 days 115 eur

* The fees are indicated per 1 passport.

Please note:
1) The bank statement for a family should be at least for 60 EUR x amount of days in Thailand. In case that applicants submit the applications as a family, please provide an Extract from Population System in Finnish or English language. Children over 18 years old have to provide own bank statement.
2) 1-entry visas with a tourism purpose are normally issued with a time period of up to 90 days starting from the date of visa issuing. However, you may stay in Thailand for no longer than 60 days in 1 visit. Visa can be extended in Thailand for 30 days.
3) If you are applying for a transit visa, you have to indicate the country of destination.
4) The applicant’s pictures have to be taken in the previous 6 months.

For Russian Federation citizens

No visa is required for an entry with a tourism purpose and a visit period of up to 30 days.
01.11.2023 - 30.04.2024 citizens of Russian Federation can enter Thailand without visa for 90 days. 
If your trip’s purpose is not travelling, or the visit period is longer than 30 days, visa to Thailand has to be obtained prior your trip starts.

If you enter the country by the land/sea border, visa exception is valid for 15 days only.

Documents needed for a tourism visa application:
Same documents are required as for Estonian citizens + Estonian ID-card copy.
